Setanta Triathlon Club are hosting a triathlon training day in conjunction with Louth Local Sports Partnership on Saturday 14 May 2022 as part of Bike Week. Our day starts with a pool and bike training session in Felda (Dundalk) starting at 7am followed by a 5km run on the Blackrock triathlon run course.

The event is designed for anybody who wants to experience a triathlon for the first time and equally for people who are in training for triathlon events and want to be part of group session or pick up some advice to help improve.

The day is led by qualified coaches and experienced triathletes with loads of advice on training and nutrition.

 

SWIM SESSION – POOL (pool side 06.50)

Advice given on swim style, the triathlon swim, including sighting, mass starts and exiting to transition 1.

BIKE SESSION – Spin Bike In GYM

Advice on transition from swim to bike, heart rate monitoring, bike styles and other items.

RUN SESSION (5KM)

Run from Felda to Blackrock and return to Felda.

The event is open to all, you do not have to be a member of the club, nor Felda Heath & Fitness Club. The event is covered for insurance.

Price is 40 Euro and includes light refreshments afterwards.
